While not good news for Sellers, Buyers are in a better position to purchase a home for a good price.  Just remember, while values dropped dramatically in some areas of the country, the Athens area did not experience as drastic a drop.  This is mostly due to the University of Georgia and two major hospitals  providing buyers AND sellers year round!
